So, today marked the end of the second marking period – which meant the end of Drawing class, and into Painting class with me after midterms. Naturally, there was a big cleanup, and all artwork was sent home. This means I have a few things to show that I’ve been wanting to for a while… two, to be exact. Everything else I’d either displayed or sucks.

Charcoal Shells. This still life (with some extra lighting and other stuff by me) was done at the very beginning of the school year, and I never had the chance to take a picture of it. (Yes, this is what I wanted to show you so long ago, Queenie :P) It was meant to be abstract, but I kind of didn’t do that so much. Still aced the project, like I do every art project. It’s not too hard to get an A+ in this class, I suppose, since I’m good at drawing. This picture deteriorates the appearance of the shading, though… not like any of you can see the original, but I certainly can! Medium: Vine and compressed charcoal; charcoal pencils.

Profile. A profile of a girl in my class named Angela. I think I got the likeness down, but I’m terrified by my sketchy style. people who know me a bit better know how much I hate my sketchy style of art, and how much I wish I could draw fine-turned things without my patience going nuts in the middle of drawing. Either way, this photo is also crappy, and I had to fix up the hair and eyes a bit with dodge and burn to make it look right again on the computer. The reason I wanted to get this home so badly? I’m going to try and color it with my Wacom tablet. Medium: Graphite.
