It means “to life!” for those who don’t know, and it’s something that two friends and I might be performing in our school’s spring cabaret. The scene comes from the movie and musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” It’s a joyous bar scene in which a man negotiates with another man and he makes an agreement to marry the man’s daughter. They then drink to life and prosperity, and eventually make their way from the house they negotiated in to a rowdy bar where dozens of men sing and dance along with them.
It’s going to be… quite a trip, to say the least. I’m only glad there’s penty of time to practice, and to see if us three can even perform it together – we’ll more than likely need more people, at least six I’d imagine. A-hunting we well go!
If you want to hear how the song goes, I’ve uploaded it for all of you. Have fun listening.
Midterms start Monday. Wish me luck! The first exam I take is American History, and we were given the essay in advance and the ability to prewrite and use the prewrite on the test. I love how non-honors courses let you do that. It makes things so much easier.

Sounds fun Jason. I don’t think I would perform in a cabaret though. Have fun!
