Whoa, an update?

Yes, it actually exists! Nothing exciting has been going on for a few days, but I figured an update is in order. About life things. No technology stuff just yet. Maybe when I’m a little more motivated to waste time for such a thing.

Copyright me, plaigarists.

"With modern medication, you can live to regret it!"

I’m copyrighting this now. Nobody in the future can take it! It is now officially mine. I’ll probably put it up on this site somewhere at some point, but until then, this is a safety post. You can’t take it. I mean you, reader. Not me if I happened to be reading it, though, because it’s mine! *evil laugh*

*ahem*

Jason Rappaport: Singing… guy.

Nevermind that I put my name in the title of this just to be picked up by GoogleBots in order to become the #1 Jason Rappaport on the internet, because I recorded me singing! People are in the house, so I had to do it quietly, meaning my voice sounds weaker than it actually is. I have a strong voice, rest assured. One day when the house is empty, which will not be for several weeks due to my fathers ankle condition, I will record something else in a louder more awesome voice. For now, you get stuck with the semi-crappy stuff.

The song is a choral adaptation of Billy Joel’s "And So it Goes." I know it sounds silly, but I did do it in two parts. Horray for harmony! Those who aren’t choir geeks will never understand this…

Hear me now.

Anko, anko!

So, I got invited to help my friends with their Japanese IV Honors project :D. This, actually, involved making one of my favorite Japanese foods, dorayaki. We ended up having a very fun and messy time! The original pancakes they had made were with batter whose instructions came from a recipe they translated directly from Japanese, so there was either a mistranslation or it was a bad recipe. So we decided to abandon the Japanese pancake mix and go for regular stuff.

God’s Paradox

I have come to a conclusion about events and awareness, as well as sustained interest in such events… I call it God’s Paradox, because I compared it to a child hood memory of mine. I would always believe I had wings, because I had asked God for them… but when I felt like I was about to get them, and I noticed I was about to get them, they disappeared. Thus being conscious of the event stopped the event from happening. This is a paradox, because there is no possible way to not notice the event.

There is no Music, Mr. Anderson

This is a relatively small update that many of everyone in the world won’t care about. So to those people (who is everyone) I say… listen to this nifty karaoke version of the A Stray Child song I transcribed. It’s kind creepy, and very very calming. And you can sing to it.

Yarrgh.

I’m incredibly tired and bored right now. Keep that in mind while you read this.

So, today was all… stuff happened, and this really interesting… *falls alseep*

*wakes up* …hmm? Oh, I suppose not having money to buy lunch isn’t a good way to stay awake… *falls asleep*

*wakes up* Oh, and I’m jealous of my friend for getting the Howl’s Moving Castle DVD already. She bought it for her sister as a birthday present. her sister better like that present! …

I’ll probably update this post with something when I’m not asleep. Or this can be about how tired I am. The next one will be about IE7 Beta or something. *falls asleep again*

Howl’s Moving Castle DVD!

Today, March 7th, Miyazaki’s latest masterpiece and a personal favorite of mine Howl’s Moving Castle was released on DVD. If you haven’t seen this movie, do so now. If you’ve read the book but not seen the movie, see the movie now. If you’ve seen the movie, but haven’t read the book, read the book as well. For those that do not already know, this movie was nominated for the Best Animated Film Oscar. Sadly, it lost to Wallace and Gromit, but we still love this movie anyway. And by "we," I mean "everyone who has, will, and should watch it."
