Announcing the Revolution

The Nintendo Wii logo in 3D.Nintendo has been holding a lot back from us about it’s next-generation console, codenamed Revolution. They recently released the specs, which disappointed many people because they were merely a small step up from what the previous console, the Gamecube, had to offer. Now Nintendo has released another tidbit about the Revolution: It’s official name. Say hello to the Nintendo Wii.

Sick, but Feeling Better

Ah… it’s good to be able to breathe again without coughing. I had the absolute worst cough for the last two days, enough that I was struggling to talk, or even breathe, without going into a coughing fit. My throat was so swollen that my coughs were eventually blocked from coming out, so I had to force them out to get rid of the itch in my throat (all of which was quite painful). Stick post nasal drip on this as the cause, or perhaps allergies which I never knew I had, and you’ve got a sick-day sandwich.

I had to cancel the driving lessons I had scheduled for today. I was supposed to have my first two hours done at 8am, but since I wasn’t feeling good, the lessons now start tomorrow. So I’ll only be getting four hours… I don’t know where the third lesson is going to come in. I feel especially bad that I canceled considering how much better I’m feeling today. I still have a small cough, but now I can breathe, and my nose isn’t nearly as bad. The swelling is also gone.

At least I’m well enough to see Scary Movie 4 today!

Postmodernism

Ambiguity is key. There are no originals, only copies. What you think might be the truth, it might not, but who cares? You’re thinking it whether you like it or not; live with it and appreciate it. Welcome to the world of postmodernism.

One week? No problem!

So, I lied. It’s been a week and no review of headphones. And… there still is no review. Look one up if you need it so bad! D< Nah, actually, I’ll probably just write one over April break.

Speaking of April break, I have one! And I’m glad, because I hear some schools don’t get a break in April (which I assume is spring break… I don’t know why some schools wouldn’t get this). Hopefully I’ll be back up to speed soon afterward. Provided I get a nice, uninterrupted, totally lazy vacation from the world! I may not being going anywhere, but that doesn’t mean I can’t act like I am. I may have lost Mexico, but hope isn’t completely lost yet.

Happy Passover!

To all of the Jewish folk who visit, happy Passover. Myself being a [bad] Jew, I had company over and we had a wonderful time. It was weird when they said that they visit this site, but whatever floats their boat. ;)

We had food, chatted, and in general had a nice night with family forgetting the prayers and the four questions together. I hope your Passover was a good as mine was, and as filling, too. Mm, chocolate torte cake and macaroons sure do the trick.

And I also hope you had a visit from Elijah - we sure did, or so we think. A gust of wind randomly blew in from our open window, and then we heard one of our doors open and close. It was quite creepy. For a while it was the joke of the table, but conversation died down and went to generic things such as TV shows and news articles.

Take care everyone,
~ Jason Rappaport, the know-nothing Jew

(PS: I will have a review of the Shure E2c headphones either tomorrow or Friday. That article is promised! However for now I must spend time with my family, so… ta ta.)

End of Watercolors

This painting marks the end of the watercolor unit in Painting class. It’s still not quite finished yet, i.e. the waist area, the ribbon, and the shadow, but this is the only opportunity I have to take a photo of it. So, in all it’s glory, the painting of a dress. In full watercolor. Click the image now to look at it in a bigger size! I think for my first full color watercolor painting it’s quite good!

Sick ~_~

It seems Jason caught either the flu or a terrible cold. I’m home from school today, which is terrible because it’s the last day of the marking period. Not only was an art project due today, but was also a math test scheduled. The art project will now have difficulty being finished properly because I don’t have the objects to look at. When I hand it in on Monday, it may not look quite like the real thing…
