He enters the fray: Windows Vista revealed

filed under: ,

It was a dark and stormy night. Jason Rappaport, headache medicine by his side, puts the DVD disc into the burner at 2am. He has planned this since the day before, although his headache has made him do it all a bit earlier than he wanted to. Despite this, he will overcome the pain of looking at a flickering screen in order to try out Microsoft’s latest public stable release of their new OS, Windows Vista.

Golden Sun OST now up and ready!

filed under:

You heard right – Maple Story now isn’t the only thing I offer. ;)

I’m going back to the good ol’ days when I hosted the Golden Sun Soundtrack for Golden Sun Realm. I’m quite happy to see it returning. I’m sure all the people who miss the direct downloads are happy, too.

So now you can get it here. Or here. Or you can go to the sidebar and click on "Golden Sun Music." You can even go to Golden Sun Realm’s Soundtrack Page and get it there. It’s your choice.

Part 3 of the 10-part series: Enjoy Abano Terme.

At this point I’m announcing that the journal has had certain tidbits taken out that are personal thoughts that may offend some people. Nobody requested this, I’m just scared someone will read them, and they’re the part of the journal that gets most "journal-y."

BitTorrent Now Available

filed under:

For those people who would otherwise complain about the Anti-Leech plugin or just want to download the whole soundtrack at once, BitTorrent is now available and should work. However, I need seeders. This torrent will never work unless I get some people to be initial seeders. If you are willing, please go to the Maple Story Music page and download the torrent. All help is greatly appreciated!

You can also download the torrent here.

The torrent will not be updated as often as the direct soundtrack links. Only MAJOR changes, such as adding brand new tracks or changing at least three to five old tracks, will be reflected by a new version of the torrent. When this happens, an announcement will be made. A date will also be placed in the name of the torrent file, so you know how up-to-date it is. Obviously, the ones with the most recent date are the ones you should be downloading from.

Anti-Leech Plugin Now in Effect

filed under:

UPDATE: When prompted to download the Anti-Leech Plugin, DO NOT CHOOSE NETPUMPER. Please install only the most basic version of the plugin. NETPUMPER CONTAINS SPYWARE.

To save both bandwidth and the site as a whole, I’ve installed a plugin which will do quite a few things…

1.) Disallow all direct linking from the site.
2.) Allow you to download one file at a time, and ONLY one. Multiple downloads at once are not supported.
3.) Prevent any other act of "leeching" my files.

Some people, who I will not name, have been consuming MP3′s like crazy. I don’t even host that much MP3 content, yet one IP has managed to download 3GB worth of data. This is totally unacceptable, and I can only assume people are streaming from my site. I understand that you guys like the music, but it’s at too much high a cost if the site suffers.

This is a short story I wrote today. It’s based on stuff that I think has some kind of good theme for society. Enjoy the read!
