UPDATE: When prompted to download the Anti-Leech Plugin, DO NOT CHOOSE NETPUMPER. Please install only the most basic version of the plugin. NETPUMPER CONTAINS SPYWARE.

To save both bandwidth and the site as a whole, I’ve installed a plugin which will do quite a few things…

1.) Disallow all direct linking from the site.
2.) Allow you to download one file at a time, and ONLY one. Multiple downloads at once are not supported.
3.) Prevent any other act of "leeching" my files.

Some people, who I will not name, have been consuming MP3′s like crazy. I don’t even host that much MP3 content, yet one IP has managed to download 3GB worth of data. This is totally unacceptable, and I can only assume people are streaming from my site. I understand that you guys like the music, but it’s at too much high a cost if the site suffers.

I will not take the MP3′s down, and hopefully I never will. I’m doing my best to make sure that everyone can GET the MP3′s and be happy with them. As I earlier stated, it’s of no consequence to me how EASILY you get them, as long as it is possible for you to get them from this site. I will always make sure that is true. With the up-and-coming Golden Sun Soundtrack RETURNING to this site (yes, I hosted it once before), extra measures to protect the site’s bandwidth have to be taken. The Golden Sun OST is more popular and much larger than the Maple soundtrack. I’ve had 50GB of bandwidth stolen from me in half a month, leaving the site SHUT DOWN for the other half.

This is why the "Anti-Leech" plugin is installed. Not just for the Maple soundtrack, but to protect the entire site from an attack of Golden Sun music streamers and downloaders. On the whole, I think you’ll appreciate it a lot more once you notice that this site never gets shut down due to exceeding its bandwidth limit. ;)

I acknowledge that this isn’t a happy turn from the previous freedom you had with the downloads. I don’t quite support doing this either. But understand that I support having the website up and running more than I support having freedom to download and stream. In the future, I may set up a BitTorrent for the soundtrack. But not until I’ve finished setting up the Golden Sun OST.

As a finishing note, the soundtrack will be updated after I’ve got the Golden Sun OST up, and some now-known Unknown tracks will be moved to their respective places in the Ossyria disc.
