SAT scores!

I’m definitely retaking it… ;). Math is the only thing I can be satisfied with. The others make me cringe.
Critical Reading: 630
Math: 720
Writing: 670
I’m going to resume tutoring classes and focus mainly on critical reading. Writing isn’t really a problem; I scored near perfect on the essay (10 out of 12, but either one isn’t bad), and it’s most lilely stupid mistakes that brought me down, but we’ll see what it was when the score reports come in on April 7th. Or is it April 9th? Either way, some time around there. I hope it was mostly stupid mistakes, and not something I really didn’t know.
I’m an old man, when I took it there were only 2 sections: Verbal and Math. There was a Writing SAT II though, which I took. Is that the same thing as the Writing section they now have? Or is the SAT II Writing test still around and different?
Amusingly, I can somewhat vaguely remember my scores now. For Verbal I had I think 710, for Writing I had 790, and for Math I had something terrible, 600-low 600s. I didn’t really care much for college because the degree is completely worthless, but amusingly, I took these scores and became a….science major? Hmm…that wasn’t the smartest decision I made. Then again, the math you use in science and in, well, anything really, was not the math found on the SAT if I recall.
It seems like a pain to study for the test (I didn’t bother). I think you would be much happier working on the Golden Sun soundtrack instead! Follow what makes you happy! :p

Yeah, I guess so. ;)… on second thought, I’ll keep studying.
And I’m not entirely sure how they combined the tests, or if the Writing on the new SAT is the same as the SAT II Writing test. Everyone still calls the Critical Reading section “Verbal,” and it’s obvious that nobody is used to the new style of the SAT’s yet, but I never understood why the section was called “Verbal” anyway – doesn’t that usually denote speech?
Please tell me the range of scores. Like if certain scores are bad. Ex:600-700 is pretty good or someting like that.
(there currently is a problem with the Henesys Market song, it goes for about 4-5 seconds and then gets cut off. I’m not sure if this is just my computer but you might want to check it out.)
Each section is out of 800. The total score is out of 2400, making mine a 2020, however many schools still only look at the first two sections (Critical Reading [Verbal] and Math), making it out of 1600, in which case my score is a 1350. Yes, those are desirable scores, but I still think I can do better. ;)
And I’ll check out the maple thing for the update this weekend.
oh, thanks for the info, I never knew the scores. (I saw a picutre in the intro part of ur blog that I never saw before. Once again, a pretty flower. =D)
