It really is “targeting” IE users since everything that is not IE is usually referred to as an “alternative browser”. I don’t know a whole lot of pompous freaks (like you…and me) who tell people to rush out and get IE.

On the topic of ad blocking. I do think there is some serious concern there. The Internet runs on advertising. I think it’s important that you be able to control what kind of things appear on your screen, but at the same time websites cannot run without making money. Firefox’s add-on (and support of that add-on) does raise a concern that people won’t be able to keep their site’s online. At the same time, I don’t particularly feel like you have the right to force me to look at your “Women, are you tired of shaving? Get laser hair removal!” ads with disturbing/gross images on them.

Although, I feel like you’re directly addressing IE users. Specifically, IE users who have no idea there are alternative browsers out there.

Why do I have the feeling you’re still upset about people blocking out the ZU ads? :-p
