Welcome to my new portfolio of design – The Jason Effect. Previously (as of five minutes prior to this post) it was simply a blog that I posted my day-to-day thoughts on. While it is certainly that still, I’ve revamped the entire site to bring focus towards a more professional portfolio. The site you see is the result of days of hard work creating and deploying a brand new website – something I hope to do quite a bit, since I’m looking for freelance work! (Yes, potential client, that plug was just for you.)
So please enjoy my new portfolio – although a bunch has yet to be set up, expect everything to be 100% complete in the coming days. I’ve already put up my most recent work, so take a look at that in the meantime. And if you’re a previous visitor wondering what the heck just happened to this site, read on for a full list of all the changes made to the locations of, well, everything!
Since I’ve totally revamped the place, it’s best if I explain what, precisely, has changed (aside from the layout):
- The only categories left are Blog, Portfolio, and the NaNoWriMo categories. All blog posts will go into the “Blog” category and be tagged.
- Soundtracks, such as the Maple Story and Golden Sun Soundtracks, are filed under “Projects”. Don’t worry, they’re not going anywhere! In fact, I have one last update planned for the Maple Story OST in the near future.
- The layout now validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional. Huzzah!
- Link categories and all of that other stuff has been demolished. In fact, this template doesn’t even use a widgetized sidebar – it would be a waste of php queries.
- Search bar is everywhere that isn’t the main page. So, if all else fails, use the awesome search bar!
- I’m well aware that some parts of this layout aren’t yet working in Webkit browsers (Safari and Chrome, etc). Trust me, I’m working on it. Everything should be working in every browser by the time I’ve finished setting up my portfolio (so within a week of this post, I’d say).
Thanks again, and happy browsing!

Wonderful site!! I’m loving just basking in this beautiful piece of html code and graphic deisgn! Your resume is simply outstanding, and, as I’ve mentioned before, we share many similar interests and hobbies as listed in your resume and “about me” section. I will be sure to check in on this site from time to time, so keep it updated!!
