I have several projects that I maintain outside of The Jason Effect and my art and design. Some of them rest here on this site, others are different sites entirely.
Zelda Universe
For over four years I’ve owned and operated the largest Legend of Zelda fansite on the internet – Zelda Universe. I manage its staff of over fifty people and keep operations running smoothly, from reporting on the latest news about Nintendo’s franchise to writing content and guides. I swear by Zelda Universe’s awesome community – it’s full of people who have changed my life for better.
Zelda Wiki.org
In April 2005 I created a branch of Zelda Universe known as the Zelda Universe Wiki, which grew into an open, collaborative project that was rebranded as Zelda Wiki.org. Zelda Wiki.org is now the largest database of Zelda information online, and it wouldn’t be that way without the collaboration and participation of many Zelda fansites from across the world.
The Golden Sun Soundtrack
I spearheaded the movement to re-record Golden Sun Realm’s rather pitiful-sounding Golden Sun soundtrack and replace it with high-quality audio files worthy of being distributed throughout the internet. The result is a pristine new Golden Sun OST, brought to you by yours truly. You can find this soundtrack both here and on Golden Sun Realm.
The Maple Story Soundtrack
Eons ago, when Maple Story was interesting, I ripped the audio files from the game and sorted them into CD’s. Although I still offer the soundtrack, I no longer maintain or update it. In the future, I may update it – but it remains to be seen when. I have realized that this is the only high-quality Maple Story soundtrack online, but the time and effort to maintain it hasn’t made it easy to update.
Hide and Seek Sheet Music
A few years back I transcribed Imogen Heap’s hit song Hide and Seek for SATB a cappella choirs, then released the sheet music and practice tapes online for free. The transcription has since been performed by countless choirs looking to get their hands on this intriguing song. You can download the sheet music for yourself here.
The Falling Sand Game
I host a much larger version of the traditional Falling Sand Game. Originally, I made these files for me to play around with, but realized that other people also wanted larger versions of the Falling Sand Game as well. You can play them here:
Grappa Fullscreen
Grappa is a java-based art tool that is incredibly fun to play with – but, like the Falling Sand Game, the author’s original file didn’t offer a big enough area to really get creative with the tool. I’ve taken all of the Grappa files and made them much larger, giving everyone ample room to have fun and make some neat-looking art.
