No writing today, as I’m packing for college visits to Penn State and Bucknell over the next four days. I’m ahead enough in WriMo that I do not need to write today to finish the 50,000 words. Consequently, over the next four days I am away I’ll be bringing my laptop with me and be writing about 5000 words per day. It’s going to be fun! ;)

Got in the required amount for the day: 1669 words. I could have easily gone for the 14,000, but I chose not to because I actually like where it ended, so I chose to stop writing after the paragraph where he finally leaves the NSGR. I think it’ll give me a lot of room to speculate and decide what to do with him afterward, because I’m still kind of debating it.
The next four days are going to be rigorous and intense, for ’tis a four day weekend! Hail to many, many words! Hail to many many more words! Hail to carpel tunnel! Hail! Hail! Hail!
Word Count: 13,730
Most unfortunately, I did not have time to write today due to an absolute overload of work and various tests tomorrow.
Most fortunately, I’m way ahead, so I haven’t really fallen behind in NaNo. Go me! I’ll do 3000-4000 tomorrow, however, to compensate, hoping I have enough time tomorrow. if I can still only get in 2000 words tomorrow, I’m still good for NaNo purposes.

The Hospiten is a real-life hospital, and probably one of the scariest I’ve ever been to. It had a logo, and a very interesting one at that. I’ve tried to reproduce it. I cannot find the x-rays from my father’s examination there, so I doubt the logo is like the real one, but that’s probably good for copyright reasons anyway. This is my version of the Hospiten logo, which appears in my NaNoWriMo ’06 novel (click to enlarge):
