Thanksgiving! For the first time ever, I didn’t write. I decided I was so stuffed with food that I deserved a break. See ya tomorrow!

Huzzah for the 80k milestone! Today’s 5,000-word entry, making up for yesterday’s short entry, introduces Variable’s new fetch and the concept of The Leaf. And, in total craziness, the group of three move forward to other places. Lots of other stuff happens, too.
On my mother’s request, I actually TRIED sparking a relationship between Ames and Graham. I had initially avoided this because I didn’t want a mushy relationship to muck up the story, like it does to so many other stories, and my limited relationship experience alone is enough reason for me to avoid it. But when she read the story and then asked me, “Where’s the sex?”, I don’t think I could leave their relationship out of the story any longer!

Cydia is developing itself slowly. I think if I stopped writing at midnight each night it might be a little more well written, but damn it all if I’m not the greatest procrastinator that ever lived. Tomorrow I’m going to start writing earlier so I can think over my ideas and make sure what I’m writing is something significant, of quality… that I’ll remember the next day. Hah!
In addition, I’ve cloudified today’s writing – it’s a big jumble of words where the most-mentioned words are largest. I thought it was cool. Have a look. Click the image for a bigger version.

Hmm… I wonder what Variable really is? Perhaps his name has some obvious significance. Also, as my Word file gets bigger and bigger, it seems to have trouble performing real-time spell checking, so I don’t catch most of the typos until I paste it into Firefox. This has become a real burden.

With only ten days left in this extravaganza, how ever will I finish? This novel is looooooooong… but I will do it! I swear to you, even if it is 120,000 words, or 130,000 or 150,000 words, I shall be done with it by November 30th! At any rate, Cydia is introduced in a mess of advanced technology in this entry; things move rather quickly, but will slow down as soon as they’re in Variable’s house. I wanted to rush into Cydia and make it seem bustling and alive, so that I could contrast it with the harsh reality of its deadness later on.
